Letting Go

It was the end of the work day and I was having a chat with my boss who asked me how my wedding planning was going. I told her that it was coming along well and that I've got a lot of items crossed off my list. My boss then smiled and said, "My wish for you and Noah on your wedding day is that you both enjoy the day. Enjoy the moment." It then dawned on me that I've been so wrapped up in planning and getting things done for the wedding that I have not even had a chance to truly enjoy the process, and my fear is that I will be so wrapped up in everything that is going on that I won't enjoy my wedding day. I want to be able to relax and let go on what will be one of many happy moments in my life.

So I went through my binder notes and found a wedding coordinator referral given to me by NR3 Video Productions. The referral happened to be Brenda Swann from Swann Soirées. In my initial consultation with Brenda I was immediately at ease and knew right then and there that she was to be my wedding coordinator and the Swann Squad was there to assist. I went home and discussed hiring Swann Soirées with Noah. Noah took my word and he was all for working with Brenda and her team. Gosh I love him!

Last Tuesday evening I met with Brenda for another consultation to go over the details of the wedding, what I have set, what I am still working on, etc. I also had the pleasure of meeting some of her team members, Mandilee and Mimi. The meeting was incredible and a lot of great ideas came out from it. I also had a chance to take a step back and look at what worked and what needed to change. The best part was that I felt even more assured that these ladies were going to help me make my wedding memorable.
