So as I mentioned in my last post on work and the big visits and events we have coming up. We all had name badges ordered with the new logo. Well since I have been so focused in the wedding planning that when I wrote down the name to be engraved on my badge I put Joy Silva. Yeah, problem is that the visits will be happening before I get married. Oops! So luckily my co-worker had to order badges for some of her faculty members and was kind to put in a name badge order with my name as it is. We both laughed and joked that "I was jumping the gun!" I guess I really am ready to tie the knot. I'm happy to become Joy Silva, but a part of me is sad that I will no longer be Joy Lomahan. It will be quite a transition. I'm so use to spelling of my last name that is has become second nature to me. So when someone asks me what my last name is I can see myself saying "S-I-L... hold on a minute it's Silva! Why the heck am I spelling my last name for?!"
