It's About Us

I won't lie the past couple of days have not been good for Noah and I. I feel like I keep repeating myself, but this wedding is about Noah and I. It's not about the song we pick, the food we choose or even about who is wearing what.These are elements of the wedding but they do not define our relationship. We both have so much going on that all the details are really not as important as celebrating US. I realized this when picking my wedding band. I knew what I wanted yet I let the little things get to me and was second guessing my choice. The funny thing is that of all people the jeweler reminded me it is our wedding. We know in our heart and in our gut what is right. I chose a ring that was not the traditional band that was a match for my engagement ring. Instead I chose a band that was different in the cut of the diamonds and style, but when put together with the engagement ring it is a perfect fit. You can take its meaning for what it is... But I think the rings together are representative of us. Yes we are different in every aspect from our families down to our personalities. Despite our differences we are a fit for each other. We are not perfect. We have our disagreements, but we are willing to make it work. We just have to remember that it is about US and no one else.
